The Shaba is a tropical, luxury mansion found in Jimbaran, in spectacular southern Bali. This three suite tropical mansion can offer its guests the utmost in relaxed luxury with full butler service, with not a detail overlooked.

The Shaba is centered on an open aired courtyard, resplendent with pillars and a cooling fountain. An area that connects the mansion as a whole, away from the more onventional hallway or corridor, it is also a place of tranquility and reflection. The courtyard is the ideal place to catch up on a book, or share a glass of champagne as evening falls.

The open planned state of the art kitchen is fully equipped for all culinary needs. Let Chef Made prepare your favourite dishes, or try something new when you participate in a cooking class. Breakfast will be prepared before your very eyes, and served with a complimentary glass of bubbles, if you so desire.

With a central cooking station, an over sized armoire fridge, a barbeque rotisserie oven, and floor to ceiling cabinets full of the finest in crockery and glassware, this kitchen will bring out the chef in anyone, with a view of inspiration overlooking the decked pool area and out onto nature’s glory.

If you do book the entire mansion, the amazing kitchen then becomes your domain allowing you to create all your culinary whims and desires.

The teak wood dining table seats, but is not limited to, 10, and is lit up by two custom-made glass chandeliers hanging overhead. Oversized mirrors reflect the colours of the twinkling lights, to create a warm, hospitable atmosphere.

The dining room leads onto the sitting area, which is perfect for pre or post dinner drinks, encouraging conviviality and intimacy. The views are directly onto the swimming pool, and out onto the verdant, tropical surroundings.

The decked swimming pool area runs the length of the kitchen, dining and sitting room area, with floor to ceiling glass doors that fold to open up, allowing breezes to flow through The Shaba; a respite from the heat of the day. The ceramic handmade tiles of the swimming pool are flecked with dancing sunlight that streams through the surrounding trees, allowing a deep curtain of hush and privacy. The swimming pool is filled with salt water, and favours the artistic horizon style overflow on one side that melts into the surrounding landscape.

On the wooden decking area in front of the kitchen is an informal dining table, perfect for light tropical breakfasts to greet the Balinese day, intimate familial lunches, or romantic culinary escapades under the powerful equatorial moon.

Relax on oversized sun beds, made for two, and allow the butler to mix a cocktail or two and slip into the relaxed mood of The Shaba.

A touch of blue distinguishes the luxurious master suite adorned with a silky Moroccan carpet sweeping across the cooling floor of traditional hand made tiles. All day long, a light breeze refreshes the room coming from across the coconut grove, creating the perfect moment to chill out in the sitting area. The tasteful antiques complete the charm of The Shaba Suite. The Shaba Suite overlooks the grove as well as opening up onto the courtyard.

The Shaba Suite comprises an elegant en-suite bathroom with a custom made porcelain bathtub that stands on clawed feet, as well as handmade mosaic tiles complete with a rain head shower. A dressing area enhances the comfort of the Shaba Suite. It is also equipped with a wall-mounted plasma TV screen with international channels via satellite, or, choose from the DVD library to catch the latest blockbuster. With central air conditioning, a safety deposit box, IDD phone and mini bar, loaded iPod, a king size bed with additional bed possibilities for children as well as a desk area for quiet moments of written reflection, the total comfort of the guests’ stay is complete.
